The Gentlemen's Rotary Auxiliary
(est. 1859, 1879, 2005)

Founded By Archibald Pundit in 1859, The Gentlemen's Rotary Auxiliary was formed as a civil service club. The Rotary's work was put on hold after their first service project resulted in the death of every member of the founding class at the First Battle of Bull Run.

The Auxiliary experienced a rebirth in 1879 when the nephew of Archibald Pundit, Charles Lester Downing Pundit, re-established it in southern New Jersey. Thus began a storied and successful run of social initiatives (The Annual South Jersey Pie-Off, The Jelly & Jamboree, and the short-lived "Miss Conjoined Twin" Competition) until 1958, when it was forced to close down for being "too communist".

Now under the leadership of Larry Pundit (no relation), the Gentlemen's Rotary Auxiliary is abandoning public service and heading into the exciting (and profitable) world of Sketch Comedy.
