It’s a King Thing is from the Haddons, the Hills and the Heights of suburban Philadelphia. Their music can be defined as rock songs with a pop sensibility. Influences include The Lemonheads, the first two Weezer albums, the first two Weston albums and a bunch of tons more. Our band’s songs can beat up your band’s songs.

The following member bios were written by Nick Minetola. Nick has previously written about babies, his sister's boyfriend Jeff and a man named Pete.

Brian is really short. But he's got a tall personality. He is scared of everything. He's scared of the big things like everybody; dying, going bald, being put in the camel clutch. But Brian is also scared of the little things too; like loud noises and fast moving shadows that he thinks are cats. Brian likes to JO to imagined mermaids, and once had sex with a vegetarian. Brian spent four years at a great university where he was a double major in credit card machines and prank phone calls. He resides in south jersey with his two roommates; one straight, one gay.

John lives in philly and only once wore cut-off jean shorts. John does not advertise for Apple. He is a big fan of their products but he does not advertise for apple. He would love to have a Powerbook and has an iPhone with all of the coolest apps, but he has never been employed by apple. If asked he would say "sure I'm a Mac" but he has never once been paid to say so in a public forum.

Jay lives in south jersey with his wife and his beautiful baby daughter. He often can be found at his auction house where he sets up slot car races, hosts a movie night and auctions cool stuff. He is now accepting bids on the baby.

Steve has lyme disease, poor eyesight and no appendix. He also has a beautiful baby daughter, that he can only see when he holds her up real close. In his spare time he likes to put his dog in a triangle choke hold while not watching baseball or drinking with his friends.

Mike was born with a beard. A big bushy red beard. He loves hockey, and baseball and sketch comedy. Mike is also about the nicest person in the world. He never has a bad word for anyone. Mike's dark secret though is that he secretly prayed for Mario Lemieux to get cancer. That's not really that bad though since Mike does not actually believe in the power of prayer.
